Cold Press Publishing is an independent publisher providing copywriting, copyediting, information presentation design, graphic prepress consulting and related services to writers, business leaders, and other professionals.
Cold Press Publishing is dedicated to the promotion of emerging poets and writers, and offers aggressive, highly technical critiques to creative writers in all genres. Manuscript evaluation services are customized to the needs of each project, and unsolicited inquiries from authors are welcome.
Cold Press Publishing's first publication is Two Review, an annual journal of poetry and nonfiction now available.
In 2008 Cold Press Publishing plans to introduce a new annual poetry chapbook competition. Details and submission guidelines will be posted on this website, as well as in select publications across the country.

Shiok's work has appeared in numerous publications in the United States and Europe, including Rain Magazine (Oregon), Colere (Iowa), The Carnegie Mellon Poetry Review (Pennsylvania), Common Ground Review (Massachusetts), Inkwell (New York), The Gihon River Review (Vermont), and others. His first volume of poems titled Mudseason & Other Poems was published in 2004 (Omnia Press, Italy). Shiok has several years of full-time business to business writing experience within the healthcare and architectural industries, and offers a unique set of information design skills and resources to his clients.
